現在オーストラリア人の主人と共に、ギリシャに在住です。
私のスタンプ、カードメーキングとの出会いは、10年以上前、オーストラリアシドニーに住んでいた時のこと。結婚式の招待状をスタンプを使って手作りしたことからです。その後結婚式の写真を自作アルバムに収めました！2008年にスタンピン・アップ製品を知ってから、カラーコーディネートしたインクとカードストック、スタンプとは思えないほど洗練されたデザインの虜になり、2008年12月にデモンストレーター登録したのです。
人生は突然予期せぬことに出会いますよね。それまでのライフスタイルを180度変える必要に迫られ、2009年4月にセーリングヨットを購入しヨットに引っ越し、オーストラリア海域を航海し始めました。その間もカードメーキングは船上で続けておりました。15か月ほどかけてオーストラリアをぐるっと一周した後2011年6月にシドニーに戻りました。
次の冒険は、日本に長期一時滞在すること。2012年1月に主人と共に出身地の愛知県に引っ越しました。それを機会にオーストラリアでのデモンストレーター登録は辞めました。でも日本に移住した後もスタンプ、カードメーキングは続き、クラフトブログをスタートさせたのです。
2014年10月にスタンピン・アップが遂に日本市場進出したので第1期デモンストレーターとして登録。そこから2020年12月末のスタンピンアップ日本市場撤退までの6年間、本業としてデモンストレーター活動に専念いたしました。2016年1月からは主人の両親が老いてきたこともあり、オーストラリアに帰国しましたが、日本を離れても引き続きスタンピン・アップジャパンのデモンストレーターとしてオンライン上で活動し続け、常に国別トップ3内の成績を保持、グローバル100位にも2回入賞、インセンティブトリップも3回連続で達成いたしました。（残念ながらコロナの影響や日本市場撤退の関係で、実際には一度もインセンティブトリップに参加することができませんでしたが。）
2020年はスタンピン・アップの日本市場撤退という大衝撃のニュース以外にも、一年を通して世界中で予想もできない事が起こりましたよね。きっと後の歴史の教科書に記載されるであろう一大事。私と主人は10年前に一旦終了したヨットでの船上生活の夢を、主人の定年退職を期に再開させるべく着々と準備を整えている最中でもありました。
2020年4月イタリアオスティアにあるヨットを購入。後にSATOMI号と命名。
2020年7月ギリシャ入国。（ヨット生活は主にギリシャ諸島をめぐる予定なので）
2020年8月イタリア入国、SATOMI号に移住しました。ギリシャに向かう準備開始。
2020年10月末やっとイタリヤローマを出航。出航の日にスタンピン・アップ日本市場撤退を知らされました！一生忘れない日です。
2020年11月9日ギリシャプリビーザに入国。完全ロックダウンの中、SATOMI号は陸上げして本格的な修理とアップグレード中です。プリビーザの小さな町にアパートを借りて仮住まい中。2021年2月の現在に至ります。2021年3月半ばには終了して、ギリシャ諸島巡りのセーリングライフをスタートする予定です。追記：スケジュールは大幅に遅れロックダウン解除されるまで移動できない状態が3月以降も続いております。スケジュールは5月14日に出発予定。
追記：2021年5月25日にクレオパトラマリーナにて進水、その後まだ残っている修理を続けながら少しづつセーリングを楽しんでおります！

Hi everyone,
Next adventure was moving to Japan in Jan. 2012. I left Stampin'Up Australia due to the relocation. I kept stamping, card making and started craft blog in Japanese.
My name is Satomi Wellard, AKA Sailing Stamper. I'm originally from Japan. I am married to a gorgeous Australian hunk and we are currently living in Greece.
My love for stamping and cardmaking started since I designed and created my own wedding invitation, followed by making wedding album. I have been stamping and cardmaking more than 10 years now.
I found Stampin' Up in one of the crafty magazines in late 2008. I found a demonstrator in my area and hosted a first work shop.
And that was it! I fell in love with beautifully colour coordinated paper and inks and gorgeous stamp set. I wanted all. So I signed up as a demonstrator on the spot in early 2009.
Life sometimes gives us a big slap on our faces. My husband and I needed to change our lifestyle so we bought a sailing yacht and moved in on. While sailing, I kept stamping and making cards and got an order from customers here and there. We eventually circumnavigated Australia and came back to Sydney in June 2011.
Next adventure was moving to Japan in Jan. 2012. I left Stampin'Up Australia due to the relocation. I kept stamping, card making and started craft blog in Japanese.
In Oct.2014 Stampin'Up! launched in Japan and I signed up as one of the first group of demonstrators. After 4 years of living in Japan, it was time to go back to my second home, Australia.In Dec.2015 we did another international moving.
I had been a SU Japan demonstrator until Dec. 31st 2020 when SU Japan closed its door. During the time I achieved country top 3 for all categories every year, achieved global 100th twice and earned 3 incentive trips, which unfortunately I was never be able to go due to the Pandemic and SU Japan closure. We all will remember what a year 2020 was one day.
2020 was really significant for me and my husband because we did the third international relocation from Sydney Australia to Greece.
Back to sailing and living on board was our long time dream when my husband retired completely.
We bought our second sailing yacht in Italy in April 2020. Later we named her SATOMI! we moved to Greece in July 2020 then Ostia Italy in August. SATOMI is a strong ocean going vessel but needed a lot of care. After doing her up enough to sail her safely to Greece we left Italy at the end of October 2020, when I was told SU Japan was going to close the business. I will never forget the day.
We arrived in Preveza, Greece on 9th Nov. 2020.
Since then SATOMI has been on the hard stand at Cleopatra Marina and my husband has been working hard to further upgrade SATOMI so she will be perfect for us to sail around Greek Isles and the Mediterranean for next few years. She will be ready to go sailing around March 2021. Well, that was the original plan and the plan goes always behind the schedule. On 25th May 2021 SATOMI finally went back to on water and started sailing around Greek Islands!
I am no longer a SU demonstrator but Stampin' Up! holds a special place in my heart forever and ever. I love its products and I keep stamping and cardmaking whether being a demo or not.
My love for stamping and cardmaking survived all these dramas and it is still going strong. One day very soon I will do live cardmaking on the deck of SATOMI with Greek Isles at the back! So Stay tuned.
